Business-to-business (B2B) describes commerce transactions between businesses, such as between a manufacturer and a wholesaler, or between a wholesaler and a retailer. Contrasting terms are business-to-consumer (B2C) and business-to-government (B2G).

The volume of B2B transactions is much higher than the volume of B2C transactions. The primary reason for this is that in a typical supply chain there will be many B2B transactions involving subcomponent or raw materials, and only one B2C transaction, specifically sale of the finished product to the end customer. For example, an automobile manufacturer makes several B2B transactions such as buying tires, glass for windscreens, and rubber hoses for its vehicles. The final transaction, a finished vehicle sold to the consumer, is a single (B2C) transaction.

What is the best business card software in the market?
Q. I want to start a small business card business. Can you suggest the best business card software to use? Photoshop being excluded. Thanks!
Asked by mayeh.. - Mon Oct 19 04:10:38 2009 - - 1 Answers - 0 Comments

A. It depends on how far you want to go into the design. The best are Adobe Illustrator and CorelDraw; however they take the longest to learn because they deal with Vectors which are Real Lines and now just pixel manipulation. Vectors are similar to CAD (computer aided design). However, there are video tutorials to teach you how to use them like: Lynda.com Now Adobe Photoshop is a good software for images and gives you the power to get creative with images. I use all 3. Most of the software mentioned above have free trials. Try them for 30 days and find out what is best for you.

Is the owner of a business license also the owner of the business?
Q. If someone applied for a business license under the name of a business that is currently operating, and they are approved, is the person whose name is now on the business license the current owner of the business? The business itself wasn't sold. The only thing that changed was the names on the license. Details: An elderly woman has permitted her children to transfer the business license to their own names. The business license has gone from sole proprietorship to partnership belonging to the two children. No new business contract was created and no old one exists. The children are now fighting over the business. The son believes he owns half the business now. The daughter believes it still belongs to their mother and does not want it… [cont.]

A. If the business cannot run without a license, then the persons listed on the license would become the owners of the business - or rather, they are owners of the NAME of the business only.. However, the equipment and supplies is another story, they may be still owned by the mother since no money was exchanged and no contract was made. ' You need an attorney to sort this mess out NOW.

How can instant messaging be used in any business?
Q. Hi there. I want to start my own business combining businesses and instant messaging. I'm not talking about text messages by the way. What are the many ways a business can be improved by incorporating this service and how can customers benefit? Thanks for your great ideas.

A. It would be a possible alternative to a call-centre, although I think many people actually prefer to talk to a real person as opposed to a computer.. Just a thought.. Help line alternative.. Another idea would be to use it in deliveries or taxis, a computer system instead of radios.
