What is a cool suburb around Austin, Texas?
Q. my family is looking to move around Austin. i am a teenager. my mom wants to be somewhat close to Lake Travis. like Lago Vista, Cedar Park, Jonestown, Bee Cave, and Sunset Valley. which has good schools, and stuff for teenagers to do. one that is pretty urban but is close to country areas. thanks everyone!!!

A. It kind of depends on where your parents are going to be working. Lago Vista and Jonestown are really nice lake communities but the commute into Austin is pretty bad. Cedar Park is a really nice community, but you still have to drive to go to the lake AND you have to drive to go to Austin. Bee Cave would be my pick and here's why: They've just built a neat new mall, the Hill Country Galleria and there are tons of other shops going in all around. It's in a great school district (Lake Travis ISD) and the one of the best parks on the lake, Pace Bend is only a 20 minute drive. You can get downtown Austin from Bee Cave in 20-30 minutes so you have all the best of Austin close by.
