Education in its broadest sense is any act or experience that has a formative effect on the mind, character or physical ability of an individual. In its technical sense education is the process by which society deliberately transmits its accumulated knowledge, skills and values from one generation to another. Teachers in educational institutions direct the education of students and might draw on many subjects, including reading, writing, mathematics, science and history. This process is sometimes called schooling when referring to the education of youth. Teachers in specialized professions such as astrophysics, law, or zoology may teach only a certain subject, usually as professors at institutions of higher learning. There is also education in fields for those who want specific vocational skills, such as those required to be a pilot. In addition there is an array of education possible at the informal level, e.g., at museums and libraries, with the Internet, and in life experience. The right to education has been described as a basic human right: since 1952, Article 2 of the first Protocol to the European Convention on Human Rights obliges all signatory parties to guarantee the right to education. At world level, the United Nations' International Covenant on Economic, Social and Cultural Rights of 1966 guarantees this right under its Article 13. From Wikipedia under the
GNU Free Documentation License Should sex education be a manditory class in high schools throughout the United Sates? Q. Do you think sex education should be a manditory class in High schools across America? Why or Why not? Could this possibly prevent accidental pregnancy and help the economy? Asked by M - Mon Nov 17 08:42:05 2008 - - 12 Answers - 7 Comments A. As a teenager in high school myself, i do indeed believe that sexual education should be a mandatory course in health or physical education classes. As someone who does not believe in sex before marriage, i know that others do, and many of my friends are not virgins, and i know some girls in my school are either pregnant, or have had an abortion. If they knew better and were educated more clearly, it could help prevent this. We were not offered sex-ed up until this year and I do know some girls who have stopped being sexual active with their boyfriends because now they know the cold hard facts. So all in all, i do think that sexual education should be in all school across america. Answered by Nicole M - Thu Nov 20 16:28:54 2008 What education is needed to be a radiology nurse? Q. "The larger medical centers may employ a radiological nurse who provides for the physical, mental, and emotional needs of the patient who is undergoing tests or treatment in a radiology department. The radiological nurse usually develops and manages a care plan to help patients understand procedures and, later, recuperate from the procedures. This may also include working with a patient's family. The nurse can perform examinations or carry out preventive health measures within the prescribed guidelines and instructions of the radiologist. In addition, the nurse can record physician findings and discuss cases with either the radiologist… [cont.] Answered by RadTech - BAS RT(R)(ARRT) - Wed Nov 14 05:31:28 2007 What education does a person need to get to become a pro athlete ?
Q. I'm writing a paper on pro athletes, and I'm wondering what type of education they get, besides lots of training, but what types of collage and stuff ? In Rodeo I had friends who barley made it through High School and others who MBA's. Pro sports don't care too much about education, they care how good you are at the sport.
