With fresh material, taxonomic conclusions are leavened by recognition that the material examined reflects the site it occupied; a herbarium packet gives one only a small fraction of the data desirable for sound conclusions. Herbarium material does not, indeed, allow one to extrapolate safely: what you see is what you get […]
  3. A collection of object-units that are distinct from one another.

The term data refers to groups of information that represent the qualitative or quantitative attributes of a variable or set of variables. Data (plural of "datum", which is seldom used) are typically the results of measurements and can be the basis of graphs, images, or observations of a set of variables. Data are often viewed as the lowest level of abstraction from which information and knowledge are derived. Raw data refers to a collection of numbers, characters, images or other outputs from devices that collect information to convert physical quantities into symbols, that are unprocessed.

A. > The materials that will be used A room that has a controlled temperature. Brine shrimp cysts (a.k.a. eggs) Artificial salt solutions, of differing concentrations Glass containers Lights > The type of data that will be collected The first thing to do is to record your "givens" -- the temperature, the illumination from the lights, the number of brine shrimp eggs you'll be using in each container, the amount of water you'll be using in each container, the salt formulas to be used in each container, whether you're having the lights on all the time or simulating a day/night cycle. Basically, you want to describe your set-up exactly enough that another independent person could set up the same experiment exactly, by reading what you've… [cont.]

What are some good companies to recover data from hard disk?
Q. I need a data recovery from my SATA hard drive that failed. Can't get data back. Had a recovery, but some important (sentimental) video files were not on recovery. I think it's still there on the failed disk that I removed but kept. Question is, are there any reputable companies that I can send my disk and have them recover all the data on that disk? Especially pictures and videos. I figure it'll cost a lot, but I want the data if it's still there. Thanks for any advice.

How to zoom in and isolate the data on microsoft excel?
Q. Although the title says it all, what I need to know is how do I focus the data on the spreadsheet on excel. I have a science project and I construced my data table on excel so I need to make my data table neat and presentable. How do I do this?

A. If you're trying to make graphs and charts, then all you have to do is highlight the region (including the variables like time and marshmallow size) and look for the icon that says create graph. However, if you're trying to make a table all by itself, then all you have to do is go to a word processor and click insert, table. You can play around with the font and the color of the numbers to whatever you desire. My suggestion to make it look nice is change everything to verdana 12 point font. Fry's electronics uses this font, and I hope it works out for you too. I dont think you can zoom in, but you can make the cells bigger by dragging the spaces between the letter and numbers in the columns and rows. And in turn, increase font size. I… [cont.]
