GNU Free Documentation License What is the correct way to land while running? Q. I run distence and I've heard before that you are supposed to land on the balls of your feet. So today I tried it and it seemed like I was moving slower and I got tired faster than usual. What is the real correct way for my feet to land? What part of my feet should land first? Some people have also said that the middle of my foot should land first. If so, how do you make the middle land first? Wouldn't that be landed completely flat on your shoe? That seems uncomfortable. You should contact the ground basically flat footed, with the foot coming rearward at the same speed you are moving forward in a pawing motion. Running is pushing not pulling. So you push off of the front of your foot. If you run fast then you land on the balls of your feet. You can not do this unless you are running fast. It should be comfortable for the speed you are running. It should feel natural. If you are landing on your heels you are reaching out too far. In your normal distance gait you will contact the ground flat footed, when you run faster you will come up on the balls of your feet. You do not have to think about it. Q. An older mobile home already has site work, utility and sewer hook-ups, but may need major updating. A new trailer does not need fixing, but the land needs to be purchased, site work needs to be done and utilities need to be hooked up. Really not interested in leasing the land or the mobile home. Looking to do this the most economical and cheapest way possible, money is very tight, and the mobile homes seem very affordable. You are better off buying the location with the existing trailer on it , all other things being equal, the cost of providing those services to another site could equal the cost of a good condition newer trailer. You could either replace the trailer at a later time for not a huge amount (Double check the zoning and planning board rules on this) or you could use it as a building site for a moduler or stick built home as well.
